Animal Removal Services
There are many different types of animal related issues that I deal with. I specialize in animal trapping and rodent removal primarily, but I’ve come across a lot of other animal related problems that I’ve taken care of as well. From beehives to rattlesnakes and the occasional squirrel that gets stuck in an area that it can only be removed by hand , I’ve experienced a lot. That being said it would be difficult to quantify the exact cost of each specific job, but I’ve done my best to break them down into categories as best as possible , so that you might get an idea of what type of situation you may be having.
Unfortunately, the city of Los Angeles doesn’t provide as many free services as you would expect, but I’ve tried to attach a list of links that you can use in an attempt to contact the city, or state for free animal control services. One thing I am aware of is that the city of Los Angeles sanitation department will come out to pick up dead animals if you bag them yourselves and set them on the curb. The contact information for city sanitation is 311. The other links are listed below.

Animal Control Services
Animal Trapping Services
The primary service that Active Animal Trapping offers is animal trapping. Many times customers find themselves in situations where animals have either gotten into their attics or crawlspaces, or they just have continuous problems with animals outside. When an animal is coming and going, and cant be removed on sight, then animal trapping is the normal action we would take in solving your animal problem. Below is a list of our normal pricing for animal trapping. As with other services, we are much less expensive. To the best of my current knowledge. Most other animal trapping companies charge at least $200-300 to set up traps for 10-21 days, and around $100 per animal removed. Already I am better priced , but they also charge to come release non target animals , as well as charge to re-bait traps. I do not charge for those things , the price is incorporated into the initial setup and maintenance fee. Also, most companies hit you with a renewal fee after about two weeks for an additional $150.00. At Active Animal Trapping there are no hidden fees and charges. Once I’ve charged to set and maintain animal traps the only additional charge will be $75.00 for each target animal that is captured.
Trapping setup & maintenance $150
Trapped Animal Removal $75
Prices can increase for coyotes, feral cats and animal removal from customer owned traps
Rodent Removal / Rodent Exclusion Services
Rodents are universally problematic for homeowners regardless of the style of home or location. I have become an elite rodent removal specialist through years of work in solving rodent problems in all different types of scenarios. My experience has given me the ability to be extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the most difficult of rodent problems. I have been able to solve problems that others have not by being thorough and knowledgeable about how rodents behave, as well as the common and uncommon ways they tend to get into homes. Whether the rodents are running around scratching in your attic, or getting into your crawlspace and coming up through your kitchen and running around in your house , I’ve seen it all, and I know how to fix it all. There is a simple formula to solving rodent problems in the home. First we inspect and locate all possible entry points that the rodents utilize in entering your dwelling. Next we seal all openings properly to stop the flow of rodents into your home. Next is the trapping process. We set traps in the activity areas and attempt to starve them into the traps since they no longer have access to food once we have closed all access points. Lastly we come back 2-3 times a week to check and clear the traps until the activity ceases and you are rodent free. For this service we charge $300.00, which might sound like a lot, but if you call comparable companies you will see they have a lot of hidden fees . Most animal trapping companies charge $150 to inspect, then give you a repair estimate, then charge 75$ every time they come back to check the traps. Other pest control companies give free estimates and try to make their money back by giving enormous quotes and getting people on maintenance contracts. Either way I’m much cheaper and extremely transparent compared to most other rodent removal companies.
Rodent Removal $300
To start rodent removal we charge 300.00 which includes inspection, simple repairs and trapping process.
Live Animal / Dead Animal Removal
There are certain animal related issues that cannot normally be solved by animal trapping. These situations most often would end up under the category of live or dead animal removal.
Live animal removal would typically be a situation where a skunk has found its way into your garage and wont leave. Or maybe a raccoon has come through the dog door and gotten stuck in a specific room. Very often opossums and squirrels find themselves getting stuck in the strangest areas in and around your home. These types of situations are normally resolved by first investigating the situation, then coming up with the best solution to resolve the problem quickly and safely. Due to the fact that each situation is different , it’s hard to give an exact quote, so we’ve come up with a price range. Normally live animal removal is between $100-$300 depending upon the level of difficulty involved in each specific situation.
Live or dead animal removal (by hand ) $100-$300
